Big Update: Smarter Workflows, More Powerful Dashboards, and a Better Builder Experience

This release introduces powerful new tools for building workflows, improves dashboard capabilities, and refines key parts of the user experience. From automating M3 workflow creation to enhancing Excel mapping and dashboard interactivity, these updates are designed to help you move faster with less manual effort.

New Features

M3 Workflow Builder

  • A new tool under Administration that lets you browse M3 programs and transactions, view input and output field metadata, and automatically generate workflows.

  • Test workflows directly without manual setup, making integration faster and more accessible.

Dashboards

  • Persistent Row Selection in Table Widgets:
    Selected rows are now saved per user and restored when reopening dashboards. You can also export only selected rows.

  • Workflow Data Source for Chart Widgets:
    Chart widgets can now use workflows as data sources, with manual configuration of axis fields when needed.

Workflows

  • Workflow List Enhancements:

    • New Active/Deactivated status column with sorting support.

    • Recently viewed workflows are now accessible in a collapsible sidebar.

  • Excel Step Improvements:

    • Description and mapping configuration moved into a dedicated Settings dialog.

    • Improved performance with a virtualized grid for large mappings.

    • New “Grouped By” manager to review and remove grouping fields.

    • Column widths now automatically adjust based on content.

  • Environment Editor Redesign:
    A new pick-list interface with search, drag-and-drop reordering, and inline removal replaces the previous dual-list layout.

  • Unsaved Changes Protection:
    Navigating away from an edited step now prompts you to save, with a “Save and Continue” option for a smoother workflow.

  • Workflow Deactivation Warning:
    Deactivating a workflow now includes a confirmation dialog that clearly warns about stopping scheduled runs.

Improvements

  • Home Page Update: Now includes the tenant alias and a link to the legacy version.

  • Administration Navigation: Moved to a dedicated header link for quicker access.

  • Workflow Creation Wizard: Reduced from four steps to three, with a redesigned template selector using card-based layouts.

  • Validation Enhancements: Workflow names now prevent special characters and duplicate aliases at input time.

  • Connection Defaults: Anthropic connections now come with a pre-filled base URI.

  • Workflow List UI: Workflow cards are more compact and display component chains more clearly.

  • Date Handling: Date fields in workflow triggers now correctly support the M3 compact format (YYYYMMDD).

This update brings faster workflow creation, more flexible dashboards, and a more streamlined user experience across the platform — helping you build, manage, and analyze with greater efficiency.
