Big Update: Clearer Validation, More Reliable Dashboards, and Improved Workflow Mapping

This release focuses on improving clarity and reliability across the platform. From better validation in user management to more accurate dashboards and smoother workflow configuration, these updates help reduce confusion and make everyday tasks easier.

Access Management

  • Clearer User Validation:
    When creating a new user, the Permission field now shows a clear validation message if left empty, instead of failing silently. This makes it easier to understand what’s required before saving.

Dashboards

  • Cleaner Widget Experience:
    The “View Details” button is no longer shown on widgets displaying live event data, where it was not applicable — removing a previously confusing option.

  • Accurate Chart Calculations:
    Fixed an issue with the “Average” aggregation in bar and line charts. Charts using this setting now calculate and display values correctly.

Workflows

  • Improved Parameter Mapping:

    • Required fields are now listed first in the Excel parameter panel, making it easier to identify what needs to be completed.

    • Fields that already have values or mappings are now visually highlighted, helping you quickly see what’s configured and what still needs attention.

  • More Reliable Excel Mappings:

    • Fixed a crash that could occur when opening Excel steps with incomplete column data.

    • Cell-based mappings are now preserved correctly when saving workflows.

    • Removing a column mapping now also clears any related cell mappings, preventing leftover data.

    • Static text and constant columns are now retained correctly when loading a workflow step.

These improvements make the platform more predictable, reduce configuration errors, and ensure a smoother experience when working with dashboards and workflows.
