5 reasons not to improve your M3 experience – and why they're wrong

When someone promises to reinvent how you view and maintain critical supply chain data, the response is often: Bad timing. Too costly. Not relevant. Seriously, bad timing.

If your company runs Infor M3, you may have heard of Vince and our promise to transform your M3 experience. One of our most popular solutions allows end users to work with M3 data directly in Excel. You can import, analyze, edit, and upload back to M3 with a single click – all from your spreadsheet. You’ll be done in minutes.

Big promises often lead to raised eyebrows, though. Here are the five most common reasons Vince customers hesitated before investing – and the five reasons they invested anyway, as explained by Vince consultant Frøy Moe Riise.

1) “We don’t have the time to prioritize user experience”

– There is never a perfect time to make big changes in the way you work. However, our solutions boost your efficiency, lower your costs and can make your organization more adaptable. It might be a cliché, but can you afford not to?

Our Excel add-in saves companies enormous amounts of time, and most customers are fully operational within a couple of weeks or even days, Moe Riise shares.

2) “I don’t think you can solve our specific challenges”

– Of course, every company faces its own unique challenges, but within supply chain and M3 there are common pain points that many share, explains the Vince consultant.

– Our people have substantial supply chain expertise, and we have used that expertise to create solutions directly in response to challenges customers have raised. Put simply, we know the pains and we have the painkillers to make them go away.

3) “We’re migrating to the cloud”

– One important use case of our solutions is actually migration. We make the migration process a lot faster, and with our solutions, you can clean up the data before migrating, assures Moe Riise.

– If you were moving to a new house, you wouldn’t want to bring all your stuff to the new place and then start looking through everything to see what you want to keep, right?

4) “Who are you guys, again?”

– People are sometimes hesitant because we are not a big, international player. I’m not so sure that’s always a good thing, argues Moe Riise.

– One of the things that makes us stand out is the exceptional service we can offer. Our size enables us to give our customers premium and personalized support, and in our experience, that is not something to be taken for granted these days.

5) “I’m worried about losing control over my data”

– It’s a fair point – one feature of our solutions is shifting the workload from IT to end users. But in fact, the result is quite the opposite.

– You will gain significantly more control over who can view and maintain data, which makes it easy to stay compliant and secure, says Moe Riise.
