The challenges

They wanted to avoid a lot of manual surveillance of their integrations, external orders, and orders which didn’t make it through in time or those which had delayed response times. Stop or delays to orders was very resource-intensive for Berggård Amundsen, and they needed to tackle these issues head-on. They also wanted to improve the management of stock, volume, orders, and delays.

Many of their customers shop through their web store, where Berggård Amundsen provide a fast delivery service. The company needed to have systems to handle and fulfill orders at scale and handle stops or any errors that occurred.

Choosing the right tools

In 2017, Berggård Amundsen invested in Vince Butler (VBU) and saw immediate results. Their integrations between Infor M3 (M3) and Astro significantly increased uptime and enabled them to resolve issues much faster. When stops occur, they now receive automated notifications via email or SMS with specific information that the IT department can use to directly fix the problem without manually searching for the root cause.

With VBU, Berggård Amundsen has a real-time monitor that overlooks orders, packing, volume, and stock. This allowed them to save time and train their resources and focus on different areas of the company.
