Scandbio doesn’t wait for developers anymore

What started as a replacement for one application has become a new way for Scandbio to build and improve business solutions themselves.

Scandbio is a Swedish producer of wood pellets, supplying bulk and bagged pellets for heating as well as bedding pellets for animals.

The company produces in six factories of its own, five in Sweden and one in Latvia.

Taking control of their applications

Scandbio already had a loading document app, but no access to the code and limited control over changes. With Vince App Builder, they rebuilt the process around their own requirements and can now adjust the application themselves.

From idea to working prototype in minutes

Scandbio can create an interactive first version with sample data in minutes. The team validates the idea first, then connects the right workflows, M3 APIs and business logic.

Loading list app

Drivers enter one reference. The app validates it, finds the correct trip or order and generates the required loading documents. Drivers can print them without accessing M3, while workflows handle the M3 logic in the background. The app is used across four sites, with multiple searches every day.
Delivery app

Scandbio estimates that they built around 95% of the Delivery App themselves. It retrieves order data from M3 and sends delivery information back into M3.
Sales Margin Calculator

A standalone sales tool that calculates margins and automatically includes information such as freight costs. It runs on data stored in Vince tables rather than M3.

Making changes themselves

Scandbio is now evaluating moving an existing quality app from Power Apps to Vince App Builder. The trigger was simple: they wanted to change one field, but could not do it themselves. A proof of concept is already built in App Builder.
